Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre story

HCFBDC is a registered Canadian charity (#810603951RR0001) established in 2008. Our purpose is to source and supply food and related products for distribution to the food banks and aid agencies in Huron County as well as food-aid agencies in Perth County. It is our desire that no one goes hungry. Our intent is to provide food security to everyone who has a need and work towards making hunger non- existent in our communities.

HCFBDC operates a Mobile Food Bank program in 6 under-served Huron County villages
828,745 pounds of food was delivered to these food-aid agencies/programs in 2023
Since 2009, HCFBDC has delivered over 8,547,000 pounds of food
HCFBDC relies on a team of dedicated volunteers who generously give over 140 hours
HCFBDC has established a purchase and donation network of area growers, businesses,wholesalers and processors as well as participating in food rescue programs to ensure a reliable flow of quality, nutritious foods for delivery via the HCFBDC refrigerated delivery trucks to our food-aid agency clients
